After the Flood

Japan is attempting to recover from devastating floods brought on by torrential downpours. The death toll is said to be around 200, while dozens of others remain missing. An estimated 8.63 million people were ordered to evacuate their homes across 23 prefectures as floods hit the central and western areas of Japan. The disaster is the worst flooding Japan has seen in 36 years, with casualty figures set to rise further still.
